TL:DR – SORRY! Try closing programs running actively in the background that could be causing problems that you’re having. If possible, close one, then launch the game to see if your problems were resolved, then rinse and repeat until your problem is solved. If you find a program causing the problem for you, tell us what it is so that we can finely tune our anti-cheat solution.

We didn’t proactively announce this, but part of the update yesterday included some new anti-cheat solutions that have unfortunately caused many of the problems that folks in this thread are having.

Some of us in the office have experienced the same problems ourselves, and after some troubleshooting we’ve determined that various programs are interfering with our anti-cheat solution, and that there’s a lot of tweaking we need to do on our end to fix that.

The program that was causing interference for us was a Text Expansion app that automates and makes easier some repetitive communication tasks. We’re not sure why it’s interfering with the anti-cheat solution, but we closed it and it immediately solved the problems we were having. Our assumption is that many of you are experiencing issues because of other types of programs interfering. We’ve seen reports that some antivirus solutions are causing problems, automation and productivity tools are as well. We’re not sure how many programs is causing the problems, but that’s where we need help.

If you’re experiencing issues since the patch yesterday, try closing programs running actively in the background. They very well could be causing the problems that you’re having. If possible, close an application then launch the game to see if your problems were resolved. Rinse and repeat until your problem is solved. If you find a program causing the problem for you, tell us what it is so that we can finely tune our anti-cheat solution.

We will not be removing our recent patch in order to keep blocking cheats effectively.

However, we know that some players are having compatibility issues, causing the game to crash or are unable to launch the game.
