v poslednej dobe mam stastie na novo zakupene RWcka ,na ktore mi nedakaze mechanika napalit ani ich vymazat(traxdata 10X ,12X,..).stare verbatim ,ktore som pouzival doteraz ide v pohode napalit zmazat.tak som rozmyslal nad novsim firmwarom (teraz mam v2.0B).vo faq som cez odkaz nasiel verziu 2.0K,ale ziaden popis aj pri ostatnych.aj som skusal cez google nieco najst ale nic...tak neviem ci mi to pomoze alebo nie.

Co píšou v readme?

v readme je len popis..ako postupovat pri update ale nic o tom ze ci treba postupne updatovat alebo mozno hned na poslednu verziu...

CD-W512EB 2.0H win 19.04.2002 (444kB) Pouze update pro mechaniky s 2.0A/B/C/D/E/F. Zlepšen zápis na některá high speed CD-RW. Opravena neschopnost správně rozpoznat některá média.
CD-W512EB 2.0F win 26.02.2002 (366kB) Pouze update pro mechaniky s 2.0A/B/C/D/E. Nebyla-li poslední session uzavřena jako TAO, mechanika nepřečetla celý disk - opraveno. CD-W512EB 2.0E win 28.12.2001 (366kB) Pouze update pro mechaniky s 2.0A, B, C, a D!! Oprava chyba, která se projevovala po přidání 10 tracků u některých packet writing programů, opraven problém s programem Dantz Retrospect, a opravena chyba při zápisu image s programem Power quest back-up.
CD-W512EB 2.0D win 22.05.2001 (365kB) Pouze update pro mechaniky s 2.0A, B, C!! Zvýšena rychlost verifikace po zápisu.
CD-W512EB 2.0C win 27.02.2001 (363kB) Pouze update pro mechaniky s 2.0A, B, C!! Zlepšen zápis na některá high speed CD-RW. Opravena chyba přhrávání v Macintosh CD Playeru.
CD-W512EB 2.0B win 27.12.2000 (361kB) Pouze update pro mechaniky s 2.0A!! Zlepšeno čtení některých CD. Tray se již neotevře, dokud se CD nezastaví. DAO RAW.

toto je na cdr.cz ...mozno je to jasne ze mozem updatovat rovno na K verziu ale este som to nerobil tak ,ak mate skusenost.

Myslel jsem soubor readme přiložený u firmware, ale jestli tam vyloženě nepíšou, že musíš, tak by to neměl být problém a normálně updatuj.

TEAC Firmware Updater for the CD-W512EB Ver.2.0.0.0 Instruction Manual]

UpdaterW512EB.exe is a program to update the firmware of the TEAC
CD-W512EB. This program is exclusively for the CD-W512EB
with firmware revision 2.0x. Please note that this program cannot
be executed except for this specific firmware revision.

IMPORTANT:
Please read the Licensing Agreement displayed when executing
UpdaterW512EB.exe carefully. If you do not agree with it, press Exit
button to exit this program.

Precaution:

It is recommended that the user closes all other applications and
remove any discs from the CD-W512EB prior to running the update program.

TEAC take no responsibility for any trouble caused by using this program
(details are described in the Licensing Agreement). If you do not agree
with this condition, do not execute this program.

After completing the update, please restart the system.

3. Precautions in executing this program
3-1. Remove any discs from the CD-W512EB before executing this program.
3-2. Do not try to access the drive while update is in process.
3-3. The firmware update may not work properly while certain packet
writing software is installed. In this case, you must first
uninstall or disable the packet writing software before starting
this program.
3-4. UpdaterW512EB.exe requires administrator privileges
to run on Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

4. Operating procedure
4-1. Make sure that W512EB_10.BIN is in the same Folder
as the UpdaterW512EB.exe file.
4-2. Execute UpdaterW512EB.exe.Read the Licensing Agreement carefully.
If you agree with it, press the Accept button. If you do not
agree, press the Exit button to exit the program.
4-3. The target drive will be indicated in the Target Drive list box.
Read carefully the precautions on the screen. When you press the
Update button, program will ask for your confirmation.
Press Yes to start the firmware update process.

Warning:
Exit Windows Explorer and all the active applications beforehand.

NEVER turn off the power of your PC or drive, shut Down the system,
Or go into Standby mode while executing this program.
Do not force termination of the Operating system, terminate a task
while executing the program.

4-4. When the firmware update has been completed, you will be prompted
to restart the system. Press OK to restart your PC. You must
restart the system for the CD-W512EB to work correctly.

If you continue operation without restart,the system may become
unstable or hang.

Odinstalovat nebo vypnout programy používající packet writing. Stačí je nespouštět.

- nacitalo rw ,zmazalo,vypalilo a precitalo ..takze predbezne som spokojny ale este som neskusal problemove traxdata.
