since I'm an estonian, I write in english altough I read and speak czech
just allright.
Anyway, about a week ago my comp burned up and I had to get a new one
fast since I had some clients for video editing. I bought:
amd X2 4800+
gigabyte m55s-s3 with nforce550 chipset
A-Data Vitesta EE 1024MB (kit 2x512MB) 800+ MHz
After getting the comp installed I went straight on to test Adobe Premiere
on it, you can imagine my dissapointment when I came on the fact, that
It's not faster, but slower than on my old 1.9 ghz p3. After having a look
on preformance the reason was clear enough, processors were using
only 45-55% during the render.
I tought ( I don't know allmost nothing about hardware so I speculated)
that it has not enough ram to keep the processor going and bought
another kit of the same type.
Now I got processors running at 75-82%.
I changed the ram voltage to +0.2 which should make 2.0V
(stupid gigabyte bios is not showing the actual voltage, but since
the default is 1.8 it should be ok) and CL from 5 to 4 - it had no effect.
Is there anything else I should change in the ram settings to
get the processor running faster? Are 4-4-4-12 some of the numbers
I should change in ram settings?which?
where is my bottle neck which doesn't let the processor to work
at full power?
thanks a lot even for reading all this mess
cheers
mikk
