This section provides information on new features found in this release of the ATI Radeon™ Display Driver. These include the following:

Video Quality default options
The Default video options for ATI Catalyst™ have been greatly enhanced to deliver the best quality video viewing experience. Users can also choose to apply these settings to Internet Video via a new checkbox control within the ATI Catalyst™ Control Center
In the “Advanced Color” section, the following defaults are now enabled:
Color vibrance (default = 40)
Flesh tone correction (default = 50)
Brighter Whites
In the “Advanced Quality” section, the following defaults are now enabled:
Edge-enhancement (default = 25)
De-noise (default = 64)
Mosquito Noise Reduction (default = 50)
De-blocking (default = 50)
Note: Video Quality option settings can be accessed by launching the Catalyst™ Control Center and clicking on "Graphics", then "Video" and "All Settings".
Performance enhancement for Eyefinity Quad ATI CrossFireX™ configurations
Performance has been greatly improved for users running with ATI Eyefinity on a Quad ATI CrossFireX™ configuration
Anti-Aliasing support for StarCraft II
ATI Catalyst™ Control Center enabled Anti-Aliasing is now available for StarCraft II

Může mi někdo vysvělit co dělá AMD poslední 4 měsíce za ovladače?
Na 4870X2 naprosto nepoužitelné, crossfire funguje nějak divně, poslední ovladače které byli v pořádku jsou 10.4, v 3Dmark06 s nima 18000 bodů (10.8 - 16000 bodů), mafia 2 s 10.4 kolem 50fps (10.8 - 30fps)...prostě nechápu, v 3dmarku06 to blbne od 10.5 po 10.8...
Jsem jediný, nebo jsem něco přehlédl, nebo to je normální? Jestli jo, tak okamžitě ATi prodávám a už chápu v čem je nvidia tak skvělá...
lol Ja s HD4870x2 ani nenabootuju (BSOD) posledni funkcni 10.4. hlavne ze sem ten zasr*nej problem reportoval uz pred 2-3 mesicema a dodneska h*vno, hlavne ze jim tam rve vetsina lidi s HD4870x2 a jinymi CF (neco i dokonce ze serie HD5xxx) konfuguracemi na foru a opet h*vno, k*rva maji aspon nejaky testy pro catalysty nebo to jen tak vydaj a s*rou na to? jak je tohle vubec mozny... opet sem problem reportoval (jestli to tam teda vubec nekdo cte...)

Zkoušel jsem jenom 3dmark06 (ten zkouším vždycky, abych si ověřil jestli jede všechno zprávně) a pak demo mafie 2, které bylo při stejném nastavení nehratelné, až návrat k 10.4 pomohl jako vždy.
Testovat vykon v 5 let starem benchmarku neni zrovna idealni.
V mafii 2 plne mam porad stejnej vykon(brzdi mi to cpu).V benchmarku mam v 1920x1080 vse max AA ON avg 82fps.
Stejnej vysledek sem mel i s cat 10.7.
Hoši souhlas s Vámi. Od 10.5. CF na 2x4870 nejede. Jsou to fakt paka a ještě mě budou chvilku sr*t a koupím si zelený GPU. Fakt nechápu co tam dělaj. Mám Win7 64-bit

Dalsi v rade zmrsenejch ovladacu nespravne prepinani 2D taktu pri OC a chyby s BC2, kde mam pokles FPS a vyditelne sekani i pri 60FPS+ (defakto jedina hra co hraju) a uz me to taky prestava bavit a vazne zvazuju, ze svoji 5850 poslu do sveta a koupim GTX470. S predeslou GTX285 sem na tom byl snad lip nez s ATI 5850 :/
Catalyst 10.8 was released yesterday, and with it, a new CAP version as well. We tested the driver and CAP and found the same performance as we had been experiencing previously, there was no change.
AMD provided us with a new CrossFireX Application Profile today that its claims fixes and improves scaling with CrossFireX performance, particular in two titles, Aliens vs. Predator and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Otestováno na Ati 4870X2 a musím bohužel říct, že jsou pro mou kartu děsné.
Totální propad FPS v BC2 z původních 120fps na 45fps, propad fps i v Zaklínači a CoDMW2
Vracím se k 10.4 a hotfix 10.4a, kde je vše v pořádku a jede to jak má.
