Je to vega10 svou architekturou, jsou tam jen naplácané features a FP64 jednotky navíc. Ale samotná architektura, efektivita FP32, nebo nedej bože efektivita renderingu je stále tak tristní že už to ani mimo výpočetní karty nevydaj.
Tady nyní můžeme jen doufat že navi bude mít aspoň ňíká vylepšení a nebude to 7nm shrink refresh Vegy s výkonem jen cca TU106.

Tak o to se tu snad nikdo nehada - jadro je porad to same (maximalne umi par instrukci navic). Klidne ta Navi muze byt shrink Vegy s GDDR a frekvenci ~1.2GHz. Vykonem by to na TU106 mohlo stacit. Je to scenar s nejmensimi naklady. Naopak HBM3 a prekopana architekura s >4096SP zni scifi.

Když jeden vidí jakou spotřebu má Polaris 30 a Vega 20, tak by možná měli to Navi úplně přeskočit a raději zrušit, jako to udělali s FX procesory po vydání Vishery.

AMD GCN4 (Polaris) waves form more irregular pattern than Nvidia RTX (Turing)
AMD GCN5 full screen (one triangle) pattern is regular. 8x8 per tile (wave = 64 threads). Nvidia's full screen pattern is regular 4x8 tiles (wave = 32 threads).

Rumor: AMD Vega II and New Vega 10 and 20 GPUs
New reports of AMD filing a trademark for a new Vega logo suggest that the company isn’t done with Vega just yet. Looking at the logo, one could interpret it two ways: as either Vega II (2), or as the roman numeral VII, denoting a 7nm shrink.
Further fueling the Vega refresh rumor mill is the discovery of new device IDs in a Linux driver. AMD released patches to RadeonSI Mesa and AMDKFD/AMDGPU kernel drivers, where a total of 7 new device IDs were spotted by Phoronix -- one new Vega 20 ID, and six Vega 10 IDs.
While logos and device IDs can only lead us to speculation, it’s clear AMD is planning something with Vega, presumably to exist alongside Navi. Hopefully we’ll know more around CES 2019.

Těch 128 ROP u Vega VII je zajímavých a vysvětlovalo by to ten horší výkon Prixel Fillrate u původní Vegy.
Chtěl bych se stát profesionálním pískačem. Už teď jsem v tom sice hvězda, ale chtěl bych se ještě zdokonalit a začít se tím živit.

A tech 128 ROPs je oficialne potvrzenych, nebo je to jen tipovacka? Protoze i podle poctu tranzistoru mi nejak nesedi, ze by V20 mela mit neceho vic nez V10. Dost na tom, ze ma rychle FP64 a sirsi pametovou sbernici.... a pritom jen o 700m tranzistoru navic (o 5%).

falešná "Vega GH" v Kaby Lake G má udajně dvojnásobný počet ROP´s (64) oproti původnímu uspořádání v Polarisu ( 4SE = 32 ROP´s) Vega GL má 32 ROP´s stejně jako Polaris.
navýšit ROP´s by určitě mohli, ostatně to už udělali u Vegy GH, ale jak jsem už napsal je to víceméně zbytečné bez navýšení počtu SE.....
Neodpovídá tomu ani počet tranzistorů, ROP´s jednotky jsou poměrně velké. Ty tranzistory spolkly jiné věci jako GMX, FP64, ECC, etc.
